1/2 cup sour cream
1 large egg
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup of flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup malt powder
Glaze:
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp malt powder
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, cream together sour cream, egg, sugar, and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and malt powder and mix to combine. Prepare donut pan with cooking spray or oil and fill with batter. *Make sure not to fill more than 3/4 full or the batter will spread over the hole while baking-if the hole does close over, just use a knife to cut the hole back out once they have cooled.
Once donuts have cooled, mix together ingredients for glaze, adding a little more powdered sugar or milk until it is desired consistency. Dip donuts one-by-one, coating both sides, and set on a wire rack to dry. Make sure to place paper towels or wax paper under your rack as some glaze will drip off the donuts.
